“Well, you did it again,” tournament host Jack Nicklaus (R) congratulates Scheffler (L)
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler served notice that he intends to continue his 3-year-strong dominance of the PGA TOUR by defending his title at the $20 million Memorial Tournament, becoming only the second player in tournament history—after Tiger Woods—to win back-to-back at Muirfield Village Golf Club, an event hosted annually by golf legend Jack Nicklaus.
Scheffler carded a total score of 10-under 278 to win the seventh of the $20 million Signature Events of the 2025 PGA TOUR season, earning a winner’s cheque of $4 million, 700 FedExCup points, and further padding his lead at the top of the Official World Golf Ranking. This victory marks his third win of the season, and 16th PGA TOUR title overall.
Three Wins in Last Four Starts
The reigning PGA Champion has now won three of his last four events and shows no signs of slowing down heading into the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club next week. His season so far has been one of relentless consistency: Scheffler has played 12 events, finished inside the Top-25 in all, recorded 9 Top-10 finishes, including a runner-up, and now three titles—a stretch unmatched across the field.
