India’s junior contingent put on a strong display at the 2025 Singapore Junior Golf Championship, held from June 4–6 at the Keppel Club. The international field featured 34 players in the Group A Boys division, with representation from 12 countries.

Leading the charge for India was 16-year-old Ranveer Mitroo of Delhi, who delivered a composed and consistent performance to finish runner-up in Category A Boys and claim 5th place overall. Ranveer shot rounds of 69-72-69 to post a total of 6-under 210, maintaining a steady rhythm across all three days.

Also finishing strong was Anshul Mishra, the 16-year-old from Kolkata, who posted rounds of 70-72-70 for a 4-under total of 212, securing 7th place overall.

Chandigarh’s Krish Chawla, also 16, rounded out the Indian contingent with a Tied-12th finish after a three-day total of 7-over 223, shooting rounds of 74-74-75.

This performance comes on the back of Kartik Singh’s memorable win at the 2024 edition of the Singapore Junior Golf Championship, where he posted 9-under 207 (70-68-69) to win by three shots. Kartik’s win proved to be a significant boost ahead of his U.S. campaign last year, where he competed in several elite American junior events. That edition also saw Rakshit Dahiya finish fourth (71-69-73) and Ranveer Mitroo—also part of this year’s team—tie for 10th with rounds of 73-78-73.

India’s consistent showing over the last two years at the SJGC is encouraging but the real test will come for Indian amateurs in October when Singapore hosts the World Amateur Team events, followed by the Asian Amateur in Dubai. Watch this space for more!
