Ahlawat is inching closer to retaining his card for 2026
Veer Ahlawat, 29, of Gurgaon, made another welcome cut in his debut full season on the DP World Tour, finishing 54th at the US$3.5 million Betfred British Masters in England. Ahlawat returned rounds of 73-71-71-74 for a 1-over 289 total, his third consecutive cut made.
Playing his 17th event of the year, Ahlawat has now made 10 cuts and earned US$182,942 (₹1.6 crore approx.), placing him 133rd in the rankings. He sits just four spots outside conditional status for 2026 (top-129 retain limited playing rights) and 20 positions away from full eligibility (top-113). With eight events still to come, including the inaugural US$4 million DP World India Championship at Delhi Golf Club in October and several lucrative Rolex Series events, Ahlawat will have ample opportunity to climb further up the standings.
The DP World Tour now moves to Switzerland for the US$3.25 million Omega European Masters (Aug 28–31) at the beautiful Crans Montana course.
Meanwhile, on the Hotel Planner Tour (formerly the Challenge Tour), the lone Indian player, Saptak Talwar, 26, continues to search for a top 10 finish as he finished 16th at the US$340,000 Dutch Futures. He next tees it up in Sweden at the US$340,000 Dormy Open.
