Former professionals Raghav Bhandari, now associated with the Indian Golf Premier League, and Pratap Singh Atwal, the 2014 All India Amateur champion and 2021 Delhi Golf Club champion “Walter Locke Cup”, along with his brother Jaiveer Atwal, carried Sara X Golf Code to a final-hole victory over Baale Golf to win the fifth edition of the Delhi Golf Club Members League, powered by Radico.
Sara X Golf Code staged a comeback in the closely contested final, after Baale Golf won the opening two matches. Pratap Atwal and Ishan Kapur pulled one back, but Baale restored their lead through 14-year-old Aditya Misra and Ashish Nath.
At the halfway stage, Baale Golf led five of the seven matches, but Sara X Golf Code responded with three successive wins to turn the contest around.
The title was decided on the final hole. Baale needed a win to force a playoff, but Ashwin Chandiok narrowly missed a 20-foot birdie putt. Imran Baig then converted a five-footer to seal the win and hand Sara X Golf Code their maiden title.
In the third-place match, SwingKKings defeated Athletic Drive after winning four matches in succession following an early deficit.
