In a welcome announcement for golfers in Mumbai and Pune, Aamby Valley, which had been closed for the past few years due to the Sahara group’s internal problems, has reopened and is selling limited-term memberships.

As one of the only handful of world-class international championship golf courses in the country, Aamby Valley’s reopening has been welcomed, particularly by Mumbai golfers who are limited to just three golf courses compared to over a dozen in New Delhi.

The 18 holes, par 72 championship quality course, a two-hour drive from Mumbai city used to be a favourite with its sublime beauty and challenging rugged layout and has hosted an Asian Tour event besides several other local corporate and amateur tournaments.
