Only eight Indians made it to the weekends at the $1.75 million Hero Indian Open and leading the Indian fight are Shubhankar Sharma and Rashid Khan, both T-19th at -2.
The man to chase is still Indian-American Julian Suri, who fired a second consecutive round of 5-under 67 today to take his total to 10-under 134 and a 2-shot lead over the South African George Coetzee and Swedish Robert Karlsson.

Suri, born in the US to an Indian father and a Mexican mother, is playing just his second event of the season after undergoing surgery for an abdominal hernia. Before last week’s Malaysian Championships, he had played the Turkish Open in November last year.
“I hit a lot of good shots and gave myself a ton of chances on the first nine and none of them dropped, particularly with speed and not hitting them hard enough. So, just try to free it up and putt with feel like I normally do.”
Suri, who last won on the European Tour two years ago, credited his hot putter for yet another commendable round in the event, co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and European Tour.
