Two-time Olympian and Arjuna Awardee Aditi Ashok faced a challenging 2024, concluding the year ranked No. 94 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings—a notable drop from her starting position at No. 42, her career high after her best season ever in 2023 where she won twice in Europe and collected a clutch of Top-5 and Top-10 finishes in the USA. Though she managed to hold on to her LPGA card for 2025, last season highlighted a struggle with consistency for the LPGA regular, as flashes of brilliance were often overshadowed by difficulties in maintaining momentum.
Aditi’s standout performances included a tied-17th finish at the Amundi Evian Championship, one of the prestigious majors on the LPGA Tour and a tied-17th result at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational. On the Ladies European Tour (LET), her best finish was a tied-16th at the Spanish Open which she won in 2023.
Surprisingly, the primary challenge for Aditi in 2024 lay in her putting which previously had been the strength of her game. Naturally she will look to bounce back in that department in 2025. The lack of low-scoring rounds further hindered her chances of securing higher finishes.
As India’s most seasoned lady golfer, Aditi, at 26 is a 7-year veteran on the LPGA Tour and we hope that she bounces back in 2025. It could be that the pressure at the Paris Olympics to repeat her magic in Tokyo, back in 2021, proved to be too much and now she will likely focus on refining her putting and mental game to reclaim her place to contend regularly in America.
In addition to her efforts on the LPGA, Aditi is expected to make select appearances on the 2025 Ladies European Tour (LET), where she had two wins and two other top 3 finishes in 2023.
