With Narain at the helm of a key leadership role, AGIF is poised for further growth. A former Asian Games Gold Medallist, Narain has played a pivotal role in various aspects of the sport in the Asian golf industry over the past 25 years, and has been instrumental in sponsorships, conceptualising and executing new game development initiatives and programs,  player management, publishing, and event promotion.

Earlier this year in January, Narain led the Asia-Pacific All-Star Men’s Team to victory for the second time as the non-playing Captain in the prestigious match against the European All-Star Men’s Team for the Bonallack Trophy, securing back-to-back wins for the Asia Pacific Team in the Ryder Cup-style tournament.

“As a prominent figure in the industry, Rishi is well known to many of our member companies. We are excited to have him on board,” said Chris Gray, President of AGIF. “With his energy and experience, alongside his team in Delhi, Rishi will be overseeing several AGIF events in the months ahead, culminating in the annual AGIF Conference at the Sime Darby Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, coinciding with the LPGA Tour’s Maybank Championship in October.”

Narain expressed enthusiasm for his new role, stating, “I’m very much looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Given the growth of the game across Asia, the industry needs a strong organisation to be leading the way. When you consider the list of high-profile members that it has, the AGIF is perfectly positioned to be just that.”
