HYDERABAD
After successfully concluding its previous two qualifiers in Chandigarh and Noida, the Shubhankar Sharma Junior Invitational is all set to play its third qualifier at Boulder Hills Golf & Country Club in Hyderabad on March 26th.
The tournament is open to juniors in age categories A, B, C, D & E & F from here the shortlisted players will play on the Junior Series in 2021 which plans to conclude with the Final Tour Championship. The winners at the Tour Championship will be considered to play international sponsored events.
This is a generous initiative by young Shubhankar who is only 24 years old but has two European Tour titles to his name – victories in South Africa and Malaysia. He has started this movement very early in his career which is sure to build in the coming decades. Junior golfers’ morale requires a pick up after IGU’s cancellation of all junior, girls and amateur tournaments in 2020.
