Delhi GC crowns Pratap Atwal as Club Champion

Delhi Golf Club, recently conducted its 36 hole club championship for the ‘Walter Locke Cup’  where former All India Amateur Champion Pratap  Atwal on 159 defeated Keshav Kapoor in a playoff to emerge winner.  .

The club tournament, playing from the black-tees saw participation from 25 enthusiastic golfers, including two young players Master Aryan Nath (166) and Master Reyhanjit Singh (186), who finished 7th and 20th respectively in trying course conditions where players reported diabolical pin positions on the new Gary Player designed greens.

Club Championships, played in a gross format are good for the game and should be held at every golf club in India as players then strive to work on their games and improve for the prestige of holding the title for a year.
