Ryder Cup preview

Ryder Cup preview included in this issue

We have always been bullish on 23 year old Shubhankar Sharma who’s recent resurgent form in Europe has rekindled hopes of another international Tour victory – which is long overdue for India. A close friend and passionate golfer, Ashwani Mathur who lives in London has been spending time getting to know Shubhankar and has penned an exclusive assessment of the player who is most likely to be India’s first major championship winner. He’s got a winner’s track record, talent, distance, mindset and youth on his side. You will enjoy reading Ashwani’s passionate piece.

The Ryder Cup has always delivered excitement and suspense and captures the very essence and drama of live sport. So we are delighted that once again TV Channel Eurosport has come to the rescue of Indian golf fans with the live broadcast in India this weekend , starting Friday night. I cannot wait to watch.

While corporate spending on golf has taken a hit due to the pandemic, it is encouraging that Charity Golf tournaments continue to be well supported. LG Electronics has come forward to support the Indian Cancer Society, Delhi for the 11th annual edition of their fundraising golf tournament at Delhi Golf Club. This is certainly good news.

As usual, Indian golfers have been active last week on several major tours and we are pleased to bring you a synopsis of their performances all in one place so you can get all the latest on them in just a few minutes.

Enjoy reading and Happy Golfing to you all !
