The 7th edition of the Golfing Doctors tournament took place at KGA on Tuesday January 5th, supported by the Ministry of Tourism under its ‘Incredible India’ campaign, the tournament saw participation from over 100 senior physicians, surgeons and specialists from all across India.
This year for the first time, the format played was a four man Texas Scramble and participants were unanimous in their praise for the innovation which promoted camaraderie and interaction among the participants.
Despite the general challenges of air travel, doctors had travelled from as far away as Punjab and Delhi to engage with their fraternity.
The tournament’s founding doctors, Dr MG Bhat, Dr Gautam Kodikal and Dr Sanjay Rao, thanked the main sponsors, Kirloskar Systems and HDFC Bank for the tournament’s success.

The fabulous KGA course, once again provided a fitting venue for the event.
The winning four man teams were awarded with trophies, golf bags, new Taylormade drivers, putters and wedges. A fabulous gift pack was presented to each participant at registration.
The participants are already discussing the 8th edition and venue for the tournament.
