In a welcome result of her outstanding performance in Tokyo, Olympian Aditi Ashok has signed with Hyundai India  to be the company’s brand ambassador for a two-year period. The 23-year-old Ashok will now wear the Hyundai logo on her jersey during tournaments, including major championships.

“It is a moment of great pride for us to announce this association with Ms. Aditi Ashok, one of the youngest and finest golfers in India today,” Seon Seob Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India said. “Our association with Ms. Aditi Ashok reflects our brand’s vision to inspire people, especially women in sports to be their true self and stand by their choices.”

Ashok plays primarily on the LPGA Tour in the United States, where she has retained her tour card since 2017. Earlier this year she posted a career-best third place finish at the LPGA DOW Great Lakes Bay Invitational and her average putts per round of 28.67 was the second-lowest for the 2021 season. Ashok also plays on the Ladies European Tour, where she has won three times.

In total, Ashok has five worldwide professional victories (two of them as an amateur), and over 25 top-10 finishes. Hyundai is her second major sponsorship deal, following the multi-year deal with Radisson Hotel Group Americas that she signed last month.

Earlier this year Hyundai India also signed one-year agreements with four Indian women cricketers – Smriti Mandhana, Jemima Rodrigues, Taniya Bhatia and Shafali Verma – to serve as brand ambassadors as part of the brand’s initiative to inspire women and promote inclusiveness.
