Aditi Ashok continues to top the LET Order of Merit

24-year-old Indian star Aditi Ashok, made Indian golf history and continued to show what is so far the best form of her life as she added a runner up finish to a win and 3rd place so far in three weeks on the Ladies European Tour – perhaps the best three week stretch of golf by any Indian player in history; and this time it was against a really strong world class field which featured world no 1 Lydia Ko, and two more players from the world’s top 10.

Aditi shot 65-66-69-68 (20-under 268) to finish one-shot behind World No.1 Lydia Ko, at the US$ 5mn Aramco Saudi Ladies International at Royal Greens Golf & CC picking up by far the biggest paycheck of her career and of any Indian ever other than Anirban Lahiri & Shubhankar Sharma, at US$ 450,000 (₹3.72 crores), which is higher than any single year earning in her 6 years as a professional.

Currently Aditi holds the top position on the Ladies European Tour’s Order of Merit and we look forward to her continuing this form when she goes back to the more competitive and lucrative LPGA Tour in USA in a few weeks.

Ashok started the final round two shots behind the leader, shot an impressive 68 to set the clubhouse lead at 20-under par. Ko, who was in the final group behind Ashok, hit a wobbly tee-shot on the 18th but managed to make a par to win her second title in Saudi Arabia.
