Aditi stands 35th on the LPGA’s Race to CME Globe Season

After more than a month away from the LPGA Tour, which included her silver medal winning performance at the Asian Games in China, India’s top ranked lady player in the world, Aditi Ashok, resumed action as the LPGA Tour began its Asian swing with the US$ 2.3mn BMW Ladies Championship in Korea.

Aditi was not in the same form that has seen her record several top 10 finishes in USA this year as she shot rounds of 69-75-73-70 to finish tied-56th at 1-under 287.

Unfortunately, for Indian fans, this LPGA event clashed with the US$400,000 Hero Women’s Indian Open, a title she had won in 2016, and with Aditi’s focus being clearly on the LPGA in the past 6 years, she focused her attention on Korea.

To recap Aditi’s fine form on the 2023 LPGA Tour, she has made 14 cuts in 17 starts to earn her career best US$ 735,837 till date which puts her at 35th on the LPGA’s Money List, which of course easily secures her continued playing rights in America for 2024. It has not always been such smooth sailing for the 25 year Bangalorean as in 2023, keeping her playing rights on the LPGA Tour was uncertain to the very end.

Aditi is playing this week at the LPGA’s next event in Asia – the US$ 3mn Maybank Championship from Oct. 26-29 at Kuala Lumpur Golf & CC, Malaysia.
