Arjun Atwal played in his second Senior PGA Championship

51-year-old Arjun Atwal, the only Indian ever to win on the PGA TOUR, playing in his second season as a senior, carded rounds of 69-75-68-67 for  a creditable tied-17th place finish at the US$3.5 million Senior PGA championship in Michigan.

He competed alongside such champion tour stars as Bernhard Langer, Fred Couples, Ernie Els, Vijay Singh and the eventual winner, Englishman Richard Bland.  

In 2024, Atwal has made the cut in all four events he has got invited to so far on the PGA Champions Tour but is yet to record a top 10 finish. He is looking to secure full playing rights for 2025 based on his ranking as a result of finishes in the events he gets invited to. 

Jeev Milkha Singh, who enjoys full playing rights on the European Senior Tour, was awarded an invitation but missed the cut with rounds of  69-79.
