Past Asian Tour winner Ajeetesh Sandhu of Chandigarh closed with a steady week to finish tied 37th at the US$2 million Singapore Open. Sandhu carded rounds of 70-69-70-70 for a 9-under total of 279 and was the only Indian player to make the 36-hole cut.
In 2025, Sandhu has now played 12 events on the Asian Tour, making seven cuts, with his best result a tied-seventh finish at the Yeangder TPC in Taiwan in September. The Singapore performance adds another solid week, but the Chandigarh professional still has work to do to secure his playing rights for next season.
Sandhu currently sits 80th on the Asian Tour rankings and needs to climb inside the top 60 with only four events remaining to retain his card for 2026.
It was a tougher week for the other Indians in the field. Asian Tour winners Gaganjeet Bhullar (67-74) and Viraj Madappa (71-70) both finished at 3-under and missed the cut by a single shot.
The Tour now heads to Chinese Taipei for the US$400,000 Taifong Open from November 13–16.
Players who missed the cut included –
Gaganjeet Bhullar (67-74), Viraj Madappa (71-70), Shiv Kapur (72-74), Chikkarangappa S. (75-72), S.S.P. Chawrasia (70-78)
