Asian Tour
Indian players on The Asian Tour will get a chance to play alongside some big names as the Tour heads to Saudi Arabia next for the US $5mn Saudi International which will boast a star studded field from Feb. 3-6. The tournament was played on the European Tour from 2019-2021 but has now moved into a long term arrangement with the Asian Tour, which is sure to benefit the Indian players.
How many Indians will be eligible to play in Saudi, is still being worked out.
After the Saudi event, the tour has scheduled two events in Thailand, the US$ 400,000 Royal’s Cup (Feb. 24-27) & US $1.25mn New Thailand Open. If all goes well with travel and quarantine restrictions being lifted for India, the Asian Tour should subsequently arrive for the newly created US$ 500,000 Delhi GC Open in March.
