The Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) in Bangalore was among the prominent clubs which successfully vaccinated all its caddies, staff and their families. All individuals followed COVID protocols before being vaccinated with their first doses while charges were borne by the KGA.

Similar vaccination drives were planned at other courses, including the Delhi Golf Club (DGC) in conjunction with Max Hospitals and Clover Greens in the outskirts of Bangalore, where members have contributed to getting the staff and caddies vaccinated. DLF, Jaypee and many other clubs reported similar vaccination drives.

Monday June 7th marked the opening of golf courses across Maharashtra and around NCR Delhi as golfers celebrated being able to return to their favourite sport after a 6 to 8 weeks break. With these vaccination drives, it is hoped that the rate of transmission will reduce,  making conditions safer for golfers and caddies alike.
