Delhi boy Saptak wins US College title

PENNSYLVANIA

22-year-old Saptak Talwar of New Delhi, the first Indian to qualify for the Canadian PGA Tour, shot 73-69-71 (213) for a dominating win by seven strokes over the field at the North East Conference event while he is finishing out his college season before joining the pro tour.

The win is Saptak’s second conference championship win in three years and he is looking forward to playing at the NCAA regionals scheduled from May17th-19th. 

Talking about his win, Saptak added, “Feel very proud having won the conference championship 2 of the last 3 years. I didn’t have my best stuff all week but found a way to battle hard and come out on top. Look forward to the regionals in a few weeks!”
