Diksha Dagar finished T-19th in Kenya
23-year-old Diksha Dagar,who finished 3rd on the 2023 Ladies European Tour (LET) Rankings and Pranavi Urs who was making her LET debut, both showed potential with some solid golf at the US$ 320,000 Magical Kenya Ladies Open.
Pranavi stood 8th going into the final day after 3 steady rounds of 73-73-71 before slumping to a final day 76 and dropping to 23rd spot. Contrastingly Diksha who started slow with rounds of 71-77-76 finished strongly with a 68 which vaulted her to 19th position.
Apparently the greens at the event were surprisingly slow and bumpy which threw the Indians putting strokes a little out of gear.
Delhi’s Vani Kapoor finished tied-36th at 4-over 296.
Aditi Ashok, the defending champion, did not play the tournament.
17 year old Avani Prashanth was invited to the tournament, following her tied-9th finish in Kenya in 2023 but struggled with her putting to miss the cut.
Diksha Dagar and Aditi Ashok both missed their respective cuts in Saudi Arabia this week at the US$ 5mn Aramco Saudi Ladies International.
