Indian team in Spain for World Corporate Challenge World Final

The Chola WCGC winners enjoyed an incredible experience in Spain

The two winners of the 2021 Chola World Corporate Golf Challenge India, Shiv Moola of Bangalore and Khushaal Thackersey of Mumbai participated at the World Final of the annual World Corporate Golf Challenge in Tenerife Spain, last week. 

The world finals saw participation from over 100 players from 25 different countries and India was competing for the 22nd annual time and finished 11th. Indian teams have lifted the world title two times and been runner up on two other occasions over the years.  

The World Corporate Golf Challenge represents one of the largest corporate golf tournaments in the world with more than one million golfers having participated from over fifty countries since its inception in 1993.

Shiv Moola said afterwards: “ It was an amazing experience. I have never been a part of a tournament so well organised. The course was championship level, Tenerife was beautiful, and it was a pleasure meeting golfers from around the world with a similar love for the sport. A big thank you to Chola, the sponsors of the tournament in India for getting me out here.”

In parallel to the World Final, the Sports Legends Cup was held, a lifestyle event where 16 teams captained by different sports stars played two days full of enjoyment, fun and competition.

Famous sports legends such as former Ryder Cup player Eddie Polland, former Real Madrid footballers Carlos Santillana, Isidoro San José,  Uli Stielike; futsal champion José Ruiz, Davis Cup winner Pato Clavet & paddle legend Carlos Almazán mingled with the amateurs who hailed from all over the world.
