Last week saw several Indian teams competing in world finals around the globe after winning prestigious amateur tournaments held previously in India.
The winning trio from the Mercedes Trophy India finals held in Pune last March were in Stuttgart, Germany last week for the World Final of the event.
Two Winners each from two annual charity events – one in Gurgaon – The Madhavrao Scindia Foundation tournament and The Christel House Charity Golf in Bangalore were in London to play The Duke of Edinburgh Charity Golf World Finals which includes a round of golf at the private course of the Royal Family on the grounds of Windsor Castle and a black tie sit down champagne dinner at the State Ballroom of Windsor Castle, with a member of the Royal Family – truly a money cant buy experience.
And two Indian corporate golfers were in Tenerife, Spain for the World Final of the annual World Corporate Golf Challenge, which is sponsored across 4 cities in India by Cholamandalam Investment and Finance.
In fact Keshav Murthy from Bangalore was part of a winning four-ball at the round played at Windsor Castle, the exclusive royal family’s private course in London.
