LIV Golf stars (L-R) Sebastián Muñoz, Mito Pereira, Carlos Ortiz, and Captain Joaquin Niemann have confirmed their participation in DLF at the end of January

The Asian Tour has announced a never-before-seen roster of players for the inaugural International Series – India tournament, set to take place at the prestigious DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurugram, from January 30 to February 2.

As part of the Asian Tour’s 10-event International Series, funded by LIV Golf, the event boasts a $2 million prize purse and a star-studded line up which has not been seen before in this country.

Headlining the event: LIV Golf stars
LIV Golf’s Chilean captain of team Torque GC and International Series Rankings Champion Joaquin Niemann joins the playing field fresh off a stellar 2024 season where he finished runner-up in the LIV Golf League Individual Championship, and previously led his team to four victories in 2023.

Niemann’s teammates Carlos Ortiz of Mexico, fellow Chilean and good friend Mito Pereira, and Colombia’s seasoned pro, Sebastián Muñoz will also be seen on course.

Leading the lineup is defending U.S. Open Champion and “Mad Scientist” Bryson DeChambeau. Joining him will be his LIV Golf teammates – England’s Paul Casey, whose illustrious career is marked by 21 international victories, and India’s very own Anirban Lahiri, Arjuna Awardee and 2-time Olympian.

American Harold Varner III, member of 4Aces GC, also joins the mix, whose dramatic victory at LIV Golf DC in 2024 remains a highlight of the season.

Speaking about the event, Aakash Ohri, Joint Managing Director and Chief Business Officer at DLF, said, “We are confident the course will offer the world’s best a stern test, and we are looking forward to welcoming India’s golf fans – and sports fans from all over the world – to experience Gurugram and India.”

While the event has yet to announce its spectator entry policy, there is little doubt that Bryson DeChambeau, a social media superstar with 2 million followers on YouTube, could possibly attract the largest crowds ever seen at an event in Indian history.
