Junior Golf
Launched in March, the ‘To The Tee’ Golf Academy in North Bangalore has partnered with Leadbetter Golf Academy for betterment of junior golf.
The partnership promises to bring world class training expertise and programs for junior and adult golfers alike, making the city a hotbed for upcoming talents.
Lawrence Brotheridge, who was the Director of Instruction at the Leadbetter academy when it was stationed at Oxford Golf Resort in Pune for many years, and is coach to several top Indian players including Udayan Mane and Vani Kapoor will spend one month at the academy, in August before finally relocating permanently to India. Other coaches at “To the Tee” are currently undergoing extensive video training in Leadbetter’s instruction methods to bring a consistent standard to the academy.
David Leadbetter is perhaps the world’s best known coach, shooting to fame in the 1980’s as his students, notably Nick Faldo rose to world no 1 position. For over 3 decades he was the most sought after coach in the world and his videos, DVD’s and books have sold millions of copies worldwide as he changed the nature of golf instruction permanently.
We welcome this fabulous initiative by “To the Tee” and welcome Lawrence Brotheridge back to India so he can continue his fabulous work with several Indian players of all ages and abilities, after an 18 month break.
