Aditi records season’s best finish at tied-31st in the LPGA’s Black Desert Championship from May 1-4

India’s Aditi Ashok posted a tied-31st finish at the Black Desert Championship on the LPGA Tour, held from May 1–4 in Utah, USA, after carding rounds of 68-69-69-72 to finish at 10-under-par for the week.

Playing her fifth event of the 2025 LPGA season, the 26-year-old from Bengaluru made her fourth cut of the year, continuing a consistent start to the season. Aditi began the week steadily with three consecutive sub-70 rounds, but closed with an even-par 72 on the final day. Her final round included three birdies and three bogeys, including a birdie on the closing 18th.

The tournament was won by Sweden’s Maja Stark at 24-under-par, with Aditi finishing alongside Chevron Championship winner Mao Saigo in a tie for 31st.

The stunning Black Desert Resort golf course

Aditi’s performance at Black Desert follows a measured run of form on the LPGA Tour this year, where she has now made four cuts in five starts, with her season-best finish coming this past week.

This comes after a mixed-bag 2024 season, where she:

  • Finished 87th in the season-long LPGA’s Rankings
  • Made 14 cuts in 23 starts
  • Earned $395,000, finishing her eighth LPGA season with full playing status retained for 2025

As of early May 2025, Aditi has earned only $65,000 this season and needs some top-10 finishes if she is to move into the Top 100 to retain her playing rights for 2026.

Now in her ninth year on the LPGA Tour, Aditi remains India’s most prominent international golfing presence with over $2.2 million in career earnings and a World Ranking of 142.

Her best-ever World Ranking came in 2023, when she climbed to 42nd, thanks to two wins in Europe and a string of top-10 finishes in America.

Up next is the $3 million Mizuho Americas Open from May 8-11 in New Jersey.
