A record 850 participants played the 22nd edition of the Lt. Governor’s Cup at the upgraded Qutab GC over four days in March.   Delhi’s Lt. Gov. Anil Baijal handed over the prizes at India’s showpiece 18 hole public golf course owned and operated by the Delhi Development Authority ( DDA).

The championship quality Qutab GC is a shining success story of how a public golf course has become commercially self-sustaining and has transformed what was formerly a 100 acre waste dump in the centre of South Delhi into a beautiful green oasis. The magnificent club house and two tiered driving range are also important assets in development of the game in the capital.

The success of the course is supported by the fact that the DDA is now developing a 2nd championship quality 18 hole golf course in Dwarka, in West Delhi, which is under construction.
