18 year old Pranavi Urs, a former Faldo Asia Junior Finalist and four-time winner on the domestic Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour has announced her intention to play the two stage Ladies European Tour Qualifying Tournament scheduled in Spain this December.

Reportedly Indian pro’s Durga Nittur and Ashmitha Sathish of Bangalore will also be playing the qualifier. All three girls have been acclimatizing to European conditions by participating in LET Access Series events this summer.

The first stage of qualifying for the LET Tour on December 9-12 will see the top 60 advance to the final qualifiers from December 16-20. The top 25 finishers in the final earn full 2022 playing rights while others will earn limited starts during the 2022 season.

At last year’s LET Final Qualifier, the Indian contenders were Sharmila Nicollet and Vani Kapoor who finished outside the top 25.

The La Manga Club, in Murcia, South East Spain, which hosts the qualifiers, boasts a five-star hotel, three golf courses, 28 tennis courts, 8 FIFA-sized football pitches, a European Cricket Performance Centre with 29 grass wickets and several restaurants and bars amongst its outstanding facilities and has played host to five previous editions of the LET’s Qualifying School.

For the 2021 edition, the North and South Courses will host both the four-round Pre-Qualifying Stage on December 9-12 and the five-round Final Stage on December 16-20. Running side by side and sharing a clubhouse, they promise to provide an electric atmosphere for those battling it out for a place on the 2022 Ladies European Tour.
