A record 18-time major winner congratulated Anirban Lahiri for his runner-up finish at THE PLAYERS
Following Anirban’s fabulous 2nd place finish at the PGA Tour’s US$20 million Players Championship in Florida last week, all time great Jack Nicklaus who holds a record 18 major titles sent him a congratulatory message on twitter.
Lahiri plays and practices at Nicklaus’ home course – Bear Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. The club boasts of two Jack Nicklaus Signature courses and Lahiri has met the Golden Bear at the club a few times, with the two striking up a rapport. Nicklaus is known to be helpful and encouraging to upcoming pro golfers, and is the embodiment of good sportsmanship.
