Nishna Patel continues with her good run on the international fronts

16-year-old Nishna Patel from Mumbai shot 75-71-76-71 (5-over 293) to creditably finish fourth in the Dutch Junior Open played at Toxandria Golf Club from July 19-22.

A second Indian entry, 14-year-old Zara Anand, a student at Laurel Springs School, California(Online), shot 77-78-78-75 (20-over 308) to finish 15th.

Jahanvi Prakhya, who plays for the University of Northern Alabama in the US, shot 81-77-80  to miss the 54-hole cut by a shot.

The tournament is open to boys and girls under the age of 21 and has been played at Toxandria, rated as one of the top 10 best courses in the Netherlands, since 1984.

The three girls had secured direct invitations from the organisers of the Dutch Jr Open after the IGU declined to send a team – perhaps due to shortage of time to obtain visas. Unfortunately, no Indian boys made the trip.
