Nishtha Madan finishes T-48th in North Carolina
Nishtha Madan, who relocated to the US from Delhi five years ago, made a strong start with rounds of 68-69 but cooled off on the weekend with scores of 73-74 to finish on a 72 hole total of Even Par, 284 to finish tied 48th at the US$ 200,000 Carolina Golf Classic on the Epson Tour.
The Epson Tour is the developmental tour for the lucrative LPGA Tour which the top 20 finishers at the end of the Epson tour season earn their playing rights for. Nishtha is currently 45th on the Epson Tour having made five cuts in eight starts this year.
Madan will play next at the US$ 200,000 event in Michigan from June 16-18.
Nishtha’s sister Aastha currently plays on India’s domestic pro tour, the Hero WPGT.
