Noida teen invited for R&A junior event in England


The 13 year old Zara, boasts a 0.7 handicap !

Zara Anand, an eighth grade 13 year old student at Shiv Nadar School in Noida, has received an invitation to play in the prestigious R&A Girls U16 Amateur Championship later this month in England. 

Zara has played three pro tournaments on the Hero women’s tour in India, and finished in the top 10 in two of them. 

Her remarkable current handicap index of 0.7, and her past performances have got her the prestigious invitation by the R&A. The U16 Amateur Championship is a 54-hole stroke play event introduced in 2018 by The R&A to boost the girls’ game in Great Britain and Ireland, and provide a pathway to the elite amateur level for leading young players.
