Prarthana Khanna
12-year-old Prarthana Khanna, a student of Shri Ram School, Aravali in Gurgaon, shot 6-over 78 at the NCR Cup at Delhi Golf Club to register a win by three-strokes. Prarthana, playing a category above her age, saw competition from Keya K Bagudu on the front nine. But Keya faded on the back nine to give Prarthana a 3 stroke victory.
The Delhi Golf’s Society’s third 3rd junior tournament saw healthy participation in categories A & B at the Lodhi Course, which has hosted some of the best international tournaments like the Indian Open & Panasonic Open on the European and Asian Tour.
Category A saw former international cricketer Nikhil Chopra’s son Krishnav Chopra bag the top honours with a 74 and Sharanya Shah won the girls category with an 82. The Boys B category saw rather an exciting finish with Pritish Karayat emerging victorious in a two hole playoff against Hiransh Singh after shooting matching 80s.
