42-year-old Rahil Gangjee, a former winner on the Japan Golf Tour, shot rounds of 73-71(even-par) at the US$ 910,000 Sansan KBC Augusta to miss yet another cut in his second tournament since the tour’s return last week.
Rahil now moves to 72nd on the Japan Golf Tour’s Official Money List with only three more confirmed events on the schedule as of now. He needs to remain inside the Top-75 to continue his Japan tour dreams alive and kicking for the next season.
In 2020-2021, Ganjgee has so far made only 6 cuts in 14 events played, with his best finish of tied-9th coming at the Mizuno Open in May. His season earnings are close to ₹33 lacs and Gangjee will now head to the US$1mn Fujisankei Classic in Yamanashi prefecture from Sep. 2-5.
