JAIPUR, RAJASTHAN
As part of a series of tournaments supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India, Rambagh GC hosted the Jaipur Classic on February 27th with 100 golfers teeing off in pleasant weather. The tournament saw a number of players travelling into the Pink City for a weekend of golf, good food and shopping.
The tournament was supported by T&T Motors who are Jaipur dealers for Mercedes-Benz vehicles and LG OLED TV’s who offered a hole in one prize of a 55 inch OLED TV featuring their brand new technology. Each player also enjoyed a swing video recording feature facilitated by LG during the game.
The captain, Rambagh GC, Dr Ashok Gupta was pleased with the tournament, stating “Jaipur golfers have been looking forward to good tournaments getting restarted after a years’ break. This was an excellently conducted tournament and we have really enjoyed the event especially meeting some of the golfers who travelled into Jaipur from Delhi and other places.”
Prizes were awarded to the top two in three handicap divisions ; 0-14, 15-20 and 21-24 besides the unique Indian Terrain Straightest Drive “Striving Man” trophy, the LG Closest to Pin and the Longest Drive prize.
The tournament received overwhelming response and many players could not be accommodated. Welcomeheritage Hotels and ITC Rajputana along with Sara Group sponsored the popular prizes.
