Anirban Lahiri secured a T12 finish in the LIV Golf season opener, while his team, Crushers GC, claimed fourth place

3-time Olympian and former PGA TOUR regular Anirban Lahiri delivered a strong performance at the season-opening LIV Golf Riyadh, finishing tied-12th with a total score of 11-under par over three steady rounds, which saw him pocket close to ₹3 crore as prize money. Playing under the lights, Lahiri’s bogey-free 3-under 69 in the final round also saw his team, the Crushers GC, secure a fourth-place finish in the team standings, with Captain Bryson DeChambeau finishing T6 in the Individual standings at 13-under par.

Starting from the third hole in the shotgun format, Lahiri made birdies on the 13th, 15th, and first holes while parring the rest, adding to his earlier rounds of 69 and 67.

Notably, International Series India winner Ollie Schneiderjans finished T30 at 6-under par in his LIV Golf debut as a reserve player for the HyFlyers GC, filling in for injured Phil Mickelson.

Meronk secures maiden LIV Golf Title
Cleeks GC’s Adrian Meronk claimed his first individual LIV Golf title, finishing at 17-under par. Despite pressure from Legion XIII Captain Jon Rahm, who mounted an early charge on the front nine, Meronk held on for a final-round 71. Rahm, after starting with a bogey, carded a 67 to secure second place at 15-under. Torque GC’s Sebastián Muñoz rounded out the podium in third place.

Legion XIII dominates Team Standings
Rahm’s Legion XIII controlled the team leaderboard from start to finish, winning with a commanding total of 50-under par, 11 shots ahead of Ripper GC and RangeGoats GC, who tied for second at 39-under. The new team format, where all four players’ scores count in each round, played to Legion XIII’s advantage. Rahm (67), Tyrrell Hatton (70), Caleb Surratt (71), and Tom McKibbin (72) ensured a comfortable victory—marking the team’s fifth win since joining LIV Golf last season.

McKibbin, making his LIV Golf debut, finished T15, adding a notable first appearance for Legion XIII. Meanwhile, former 4Aces GC player Pat Perez transitioned into a new role as an on-course commentator.

Next stop: LIV Golf Adelaide
With the first event concluded, the tour transitions to Australia, where LIV Golf Adelaide tees off on Friday.
