After Aditi Ashok announced a tie up last month with Hyundai India, in a sign that Indian pro golfers continue to attract blue chip corporate brands, Arjuna Awardee & Asian Tour winner Shiv Kapur announced that he has extended his association with Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott International’s travel program for another year.

As a Marriott Bonvoy ambassador, Kapur will sport the Marriott Bonvoy logo on his cap at all the tournaments he plays this year. Marriott Bonvoy members will also have the opportunity to use their points to bid for golf masterclasses, meet and greet opportunities with Shiv and tickets to golf tournaments across the globe.

“Marriott Bonvoy has always been known for its global portfolio of brands, travel program, and memorable lifestyle experiences,” Kapur said. “Curating experiences with them is a privilege and I am looking forward to the activities we will be planning across the year. This is also a great way to interact with followers of this legendary sport.”

Exclusive Marriott Bonvoy Moments with Shiv will be available to members for redemption on the Moments platform.

Commenting on the partnership, Neeraj Govil, Senior Vice President, Operations Asia Pacific (excluding Greater China), Marriott International said, “Our aim is to focus on creating money-cannot-buy experiences for our members and find unique ways to engage them. With Shiv Kapur, one of India’s most sought-after professional golfers on-board, our Marriott Bonvoy members now have the opportunity to meet and interact with such eminent sports personalities. We are truly excited to have Shiv on board.”

Some years back Gaganjeet Bhullar had similarly tied up for a 3 year term with Westin Hotels, which is now also under the Marriott umbrella.

In December, Allcargo Global Logistics had announced tie ups with 3 of India’s top young lady players – 17 yr old Sneha Singh of Hyderabad, 18 year old Pranavi Urs of Mysore and 15 yr old Avani Prashanth of Bangalore. All three girls will sport the AllCargo and group company logos when playing in India and overseas for the next three years.

Sehar Atwal, who plays the Hero Women’s Pro Tour has tied up with Chennai based Cholamandalam Finance.
