Mysore’s Pranavi Urs capped off her first full season on the Ladies European Tour (LET) with a career-best solo third-place finish in Malaga, Spain, marking her fifth top-10 finish of the year.
With rounds of 66-69-71-68, the 21-year-old finished the week at 14-under-par and pocketed €42,000 in prize money, climbing to 17th in the LET rankings as the best-placed Indian, ahead of Diksha Dagar, and comfortably retaining full playing rights for 2025.
After some years, India will have two ladies playing a full schedule in Europe, in 2025 – Pranavi and Diksha – making this a significant milestone for Indian women’s golf. Thanks to solid corporate support for Pranavi, she was able to play all over the world from 2021 onwards, which has led to her success till this point.
Reflecting on her week, Urs expressed satisfaction with how she played. “I couldn’t have asked for a better week! Well, I could if I had won, but I was close yesterday until the 13th hole,” she said. “I know where I can potentially be and how well I can play under pressure. I think I handled that situation pretty well yesterday, so it was a good week overall.”
Meanwhile, Olympian and LPGA-regular Aditi Ashok, who won this title last year finished T16 at seven-under-par. Aditi candidly acknowledged the challenges of maintaining form amid a packed schedule: “I think I was a little golfed out. I played a lot of weeks in a row this year and just felt like I needed a bit of a break.” She recently spent six weeks at home, focusing on rest and practice to recharge for the season finale in Spain.
Among other Indian golfers, two-time LET winner Diksha Dagar finished T42 at one-under-par, while Tvesa Malik, a Sunshine Tour champion, concluded her season with a T70 finish at eight-over-par.
On the home front, Spain’s own Carlota Ciganda, a formidable force on the LET, claimed her eighth title in front of a supportive local crowd. Leading after the second round, Ciganda held off a strong final-round charge from Belgium’s Manon De Roey, whose four-shot deficit was narrowed to just one.
