Oosthuizen Recap

Oosthuizen posted bogey-free rounds of 64 & 65 in the opening rounds and followed it with 1-under par on Saturday, which included two bogeys, breaking his 46 hole blemish free run, while having Morikawa in his group shooting pins to the lasers with his irons. Morikawa’s 2-under 68 included two bogeys in first five holes.

At one time Spieth and Morikawa joined Oosthuizen for a three-way tie at 11-under par, but the South African kept his calm and made a par on 15th to relieve his tension. Oosthuizen followed it with a tee-shot landing 10ft from the hole on 16th for third birdie of his round , moving one ahead of the competition.

Currently there are eight players within five shot reach of Oosthuizen, including the current U.S. Open champion Jon Rahm, Mackenzie Hughes and Dylan Frittelli at 7-under par.

Will Oosthuizen be able to hold on to his lead for his second career major or will he be dethroned by the charging group from behind? A Super Sunday is upon us all golf lovers today.
