Rolex Testimonee Scottie Scheffler after winning the 2024 Masters

In the week of The Masters, fans can hardly miss noticing Rolex’s presence at the event. In fact, few brands can match the long-standing association Rolex has had with golf at various levels.
Even closer to home, the brand has supported the game for over a decade.

Rolex and Indian Golf
While the international spotlight often glows brightest on the PGA and European Tours, Rolex has steadily and meaningfully supported Indian golf:

  • Long-standing continuing support for the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), and earlier for the Indian Golf Union (IGU)—Rolex’s support for both bodies started many years ago.
  • Sponsorship of the all-important Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship (AAC) for boys, and Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific (WAAP) that are crucial launchpads for Indian talent, which award young winners with life-changing opportunities to play in decorated events like The Masters and The Open Championship.
  • The brand’s patronage extends to the prestigious Rolex Series on the DP World Tour, with events like the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, and through the Tour, to the Hero Indian Open annually.

Rolex Brand Ambassadors
For decades the brand has adorned the wrists of the game’s icons. From the legendary Arnold Palmer, to all-time greatest 18-time Major Championship winner Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player—The Big Three who first adorned the Rolex Testimonee badge in 1967—to modern champions like Tiger Woods, Jon Rahm, and Scottie Scheffler, Rolex’s imprint on the sport is undeniable.

Again today, the Swiss watchmaker stands as the Tournament Partner of The Masters—an honor held since 1999—cementing its role at Augusta National Golf Club, the Mecca of golfing tradition.

In 2021, Hideki Matsuyama of Japan, a Rolex Testimonee since 2016,  made history as the first Asian male to win The Masters. Now with 11 PGA TOUR wins and fresh off a record-breaking victory at The Sentry 2025 (35-under par), he enters Augusta as a strong Asian contender.

The Rolex Testimonee roster remains unmatched, from trailblazing legends to today’s leaders such as Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm, Viktor Hovland, and Hideki Matsuyama. Jeev Milkha Singh, India’s most globally accomplished golfer, has also benefited from Rolex’s patronage, bringing international legitimacy and attention to Indian golf.

This deep-rooted involvement reflects Rolex’s vision of sustaining the integrity and excellence of the sport, making it a cornerstone partner not only at the global level but also within India’s emerging golf narrative.
