Pro Golf – HWPGT
27-year-old Gurgaon pro, Vani Kapoor, with a record 29 titles on the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour (HWPGT), was recently certified by LeadBetter Academy as an eligible ‘Leadbetter Academy Instructor’.
Vani decided to get the coaching certification done during the lockdown and invested over a year of training to finally achieve it.

Vani, excited about her achievement, said, “I decided to get this teaching certification from David Leadbetter Academy last year when Covid started. I wanted to use my time for something more constructive and something which would eventually help me in the future if & when I decide to coach. It took me a little over a year to complete the certification as I was also playing and I gave it a break for a couple of months in between. I don’t have any concrete plans of coaching as of now. My priority is playing golf. If time permits in the future, I might start coaching even if it’s for a few hours in a week.”
