Despite receiving a last minute call to represent the country in Tokyo and arriving, jet lagged from Northern Ireland,  just 2 days prior to her opening round,  20 year old Diksha recovered after her opening round of  76 to shoot 72-72-70 on the final three days for a respectable total of 6-over 290 to finish her Olympic debut with her head held high.

Diksha had been in good form in Europe in the month prior to Tokyo registering a win at the Aramco Team Series London event last month and adding two 4th place finishes In Czech Republic and Finland.

She was highly fatigued during the week and has elected to travel back to India, rest and regroup, skipping the next couple of weeks on the European Tour. With her father Col Dagar caddying for her, young Diksha is clearly a talent that needs to be supported and nurtured as she could bring great laurels to Indian golf in the years to come.
