Aditi with her father on the bag at the Cognizant Founders Cup in New Jersey
Aditi Ashok, who is enjoying her all time best year followed up her 2nd place finish a couple of weeks back with being in contention and finishing 5th in a star studded field at the US$ 3mn Cognizant Founders Cup on the LPGA Tour in New Jersey with scores of 69-68-71-73 (7-under 281) to pick up a cheque of US$ 106,336 and move up to 20th on the LPGA’s Money List.
Just two weeks back Aditi lost on the first extra hole of a playoff at Wilshire Country Club in Los Angeles, California. And in February Aditi finished 1st, 3rd and 2nd in three amazing weeks on the Ladies European Tour which put her on the top of that tour’s rankings.
After 6 years on the LPGA Tour, Aditi, still only 25 years old, has gained significant distance of the tee, earlier a major weakness, which appears to have transformed her scoring. Her world ranking has jumped from 195 at the start of the year to 64th currently and she is at 18th place on the LPGA Tour rankings for 2023.
