Indian Americans host Sadhguru & Kapil Dev in Washington

The spiritual leader Sadhguru joined actress Rakulpreet Singh and cricket legend Kapil Dev for a round of golf at Washington DC along with Indian American amateur golf sensation Megha Ganne at the 17th edition of the ATA convention. Talking on her Instagram handle, Rakulpreet wrote, “What better than kickstarting the ATA convention at Washington DC with @sadhguru @therealkapildev.

Rakulpreet, Kapil Dev and Sadhguru were joined by 16 year old New Jersey resident Megha Ganne, who was a top 10 finisher at the 2021 U.S. Women’s Open on the LPGA Tour.

The first day of the convention saw former West Indies cricket captain Chris Gayle hand over an award for another Indian American golf star  Sahith Theegala who has made US$2.5 million in his first year on the PGA Tour. Sahith’s brother Sahan and father Murali accepted the honour on behalf of Sahith. 

The three-day 17th American Telugu Association Convention attracted Andhra Pradesh Government representatives Ratnakar Pandukalya, Hari Prasad Lingala and Medapati Venkat inaugurating the Andhra Pradesh Pavilion.
