Star-Studded Lineup Set to Take on Royal Liverpool in Pre-Open Event

Excitement is building as celebrity names and prominent influencers from the worlds of sport and entertainment gear up to face the challenging course of Royal Liverpool. This special event, which serves as a curtain-raiser to The Open, will captivate audiences worldwide on Sunday, July 16.


In a unique opportunity for fans, the practice round on Sunday will be free to watch and streamed live on TheOpen.com, YouTube, and TikTok. Ticket holders are eagerly anticipating the chance to witness the action on the course firsthand and soak in the electric atmosphere.

The roster of participants is nothing short of impressive, with a lineup of sporting superstars ready to take the stage. Among them are England football Internationals Jordan Pickford and Jermaine Jenas, NFL Super Bowl Champion Victor Cruz, world-title winning boxer Tony Bellew, and Indian cricket icon Yuvraj Singh.

Joining the athletic elite are renowned figures from the entertainment industry. Hollywood actress Kathryn Newton, pop star Ronan Keating, and actor and presenter of ITV’s ‘The Chase’ Bradley Walsh will grace the event with their presence. Additionally, prominent influencers with millions of social media fans, including Blake Gray, Calfreezy, Margaux Brooke, and Marques Brownlee, will also be in attendance.

The 12 participants will be divided into three teams of four, competing in a traditional team scramble format on the back nine holes of Royal Liverpool. Adding to the excitement, the teams will engage in a closest-to-the-pin challenge on the newly designed 17th hole. The grand finale will feature a thrilling longest drive competition down the iconic 18th hole, showcasing their remarkable skills.
