Jack South winner of Motocaddy Masters
29 year old struggling English pro Jack South who had barely earned US$3000 (Rs 2.25 lacs) so far on the Europro tour ( a 3rd tier developmental tour in Europe) in 2021 earned a windfall total of US$ 180,000 ( Rs 1.35 crore) last week after shooting a 59 in Scotland at the MotoCaddy Masters.
South carded 64-67-59 to win the Motocaddy Masters and in addition to the US$ 18,000 first prize, because of his sub 60 score, he became eligible for a US$ 83,000 bonus from Cobra Puma, being a member of their pro squad and collected another US$ 81,000 bonus from the Euro Pro Tour. He also received a Motocaddy M5 GPS with Lithium battery and a PRO 3000 Laser.
No doubt a life changing round for the young pro as he and his partner Samantha are expecting a child in January.
