Bhullar, Kapur lead Indian challenge in Korea

Gaganjeet Bhullar was 2nd in Korea in 2018

9-time Asian Tour winner Gaganjeet Bhullar and Asian and European Tour star Shiv Kapur will lead the Indian challenge at this week’s US$ 950,000 Caltex Maekyung Open at Namseoul Country Club in South Korea.

Bhullar and Kapur last played at the Trust Golf Asian Mixed Stableford Challenge in Thailand, where Bhullar missed the cut and Kapur finished tied for 22nd. Both also played in the inaugural US$ 500,000 Delhi GC Open in New Delhi earlier in April, finishing 4th and tied-6th respectively.

Bhullar has played well in this event in the past;  finishing 2nd in 2018 after losing out to local Park Sang-hyun in a playoff.

Other Indian pros in action in Korea are Chikkarangappa S., Viraj Madappa, who won the men’s Asian Games qualifier, the in-form Veer Ahlawat, Honey Baisoya, Khalin Joshi, Aadil Bedi, and Karandeep Kochhar.
