18-year-old Shat Mishra from New Delhi, ranked No.7 on the Indian Golf Union’s Gentlemen Rankings, carded rounds of 67-66-75 to register a win at a total score of 8-under 208 at the 10th Nepal Amateur Open Golf Championship at Gokarna Golf Club in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Sadbhav Acharya of Nepal carded rounds of 69-74-69 to finish runner-up at a total score of 4-under 212. Defending champion Sumit Kotwal of India shot 73-73-67 to finish third at 3-under 213.

Shat and Kotwal won the team event title for India with a 36-hole total score of 9-under par. Nepal B team of Rahul and Wangchen Dhondup finished second at 2-over par, while Nepal A team of Sadbhav and Tashi Tsering finished third. Bangladesh and Bhutan were fourth and fifth respectively in the five-team event.
A total of 65 players from five countries — Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Bhutan — took part in the 54-hole event organised by Nepal Golf Association under the auspices of National Sports Council and Nepal Tourism Board.
