Indian Olympian and LPGA regular Aditi Ashok of Bangalore carded 74-71-74-70 (1-over 289) to finish tied-48th at her first tournament of 2021 – the US$ 2mn Gainbridge LPGA at Lake Nona Golf Course in Orlando, Florida.
Aditi added US$ 7,238 (₹5,32,980) and is headed to the US $1.5mn Drive on Championship from March 4th, also in Florida.
Aditi last played tournaments at the Arkansas Open in Aug. 2020 and Spain where she finished tied-30th.
Aditi has spent the last few months playing and practicing in Bangalore, where she has struggled with poor practice facilities, lack of competitive golf and being away from her coaches. This makes her return to the LPGA Tour all the more commendable.
