Jyoti Randhawa hit top form in Turkey at the Legends Tour qualifier

European and Asian Tour veteran, Jyoti Randhawa, now 52 years old, turned back the clock with scores of 71, 67, 68, and 70, to win the Legends (Senior) Tour Qualifier at Gloria Golf Club in Antalya, Türkiy, granting him full playing rights for the 2024 Legends Tour season in Europe.

Randhawa will join another Indian legend, Jeev Milkha Singh, on the tour, who finished 13th on the Senior Tour Order of Merit last year.

The Legends Tour will announce their full schedule, but in 2023 featured 16 tournaments across the globe. Importantly Jyoti and Jeev will get to play a few of the Senior majors like the US Senior Open and British Senior Open where they will compete with the likes of Bernhard Langer, Fred Couples, Vijay Singh and other superstars.

Jyoti has 8 victories on the Asian Tour, including a record three Indian Open titles, and has also won once on the Japan Golf Tour. His strength is his fitness and athletic ability which seems undiminished with age.

Both Jyoti and Jeev’s sons have also been showing promise at the junior level and we are likely to see scenarios during the year where the sons are caddying for their fathers and vice versa in junior tournaments. All this augurs well for the game.
